J1939 CAN Bus Simulator

Simulate Engine J1939 CAN messages

Ideal for creating a ‘virtual’ engine for J1939 test environments.

The J1939 ECU Simulator is an application developed for the XNut hardware, which implements a J1939 compliant ECU simulation for specific J1939 SPNs.

This hardware device can be used to test devices like J1939 port readers and dash gauges without the need to connect to a vehicles actual CAN bus.

Features of the J1939 Simulator

  • Supports 37 variable J1939 SPN's
  • Adjust live readings in real-time with on screen 'slider' for each SPN value
  • Message Logging (via Serial debug port)
  • J1939 DM1 Support – Simple (Amber/Red Warning Lamp On/Off)
  • Full data range simulation for each SPN, allows full range testing.
  • Power Supply Voltage Range 10-30 VDC
